From Novice Nurse to Healthcare Hero with Jannel Gooden

This week’s guest brings her warm infectious energy as well as her passion for pediatrics and nurses in training to The WoMed. Host D chats with Jannel Gooden who is a nurse, author and co-founder of Novice is The New Nurse, a company that mentors and empowers new nurses through the difficult transitionary period from school to acute care. Jannel explains how a bad experience in a med surg unit and finding her passion in the pediatrics unit would later inspire her want to support new nurses from an emotional standpoint. They also discuss ways that the nursing profession needs to improve and Jannel gives listeners a little preview of her new nurse affirmations book coming soon!
