We are so thrilled to share our great talk with our special guest Dr. Sasha Shillcutt about the importance of setting brave boundaries between our personal and professional lives as leaders.
Sasha is a cardiac anesthesiologist, a tenured Endowed Professor, and the Vice Chair of Strategy and Innovation in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).
She is the CEO and founder of Brave Enough and a best-selling author of her first book, Between Grit and Grace, How to be Feminine and Formidable, and her second book, Brave Boundaries, Strategies to Say No, Stand Strong, and Take Control of Your Time, was released in September of 2022.
Sasha frequently speaks to executives and companies on the topics of professional burnout, resilience, and gender equity and has a featured TEDx Talk on “Resilience: The Art of Failing Forward” that has been viewed by thousands of people.
Sasha shares her journey of burnout, discovering the significance of boundaries, and some Boundary Rebel Truths from her book Brave Boundaries.
We also talk about the biggest barriers for healthcare leaders to set and keep boundaries and some of the generational differences in setting boundaries.
