#182: NAM’s National Plan for Improving Healthcare Workforce Well-Being featuring Dr. Lucinda Maine
In this episode, we talk with our special guest Dr. Lucinda Maine about the NAM’s (National Academy of Medicine) National Plan for Health Workforce Well-Being.
Lucinda served as Executive Vice President and CEO of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (ACCP), which is the leading advocate for high-quality pharmacy education in the US.
She currently serves as a board member of the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education and has received numerous awards for her work in her field.
We asked Lucinda to join us on our podcast because she is a member of NAM’s interprofessional Collaborative Steering Committee that met to identify priority areas to advance healthcare worker well being.
In this episode, Lucinda shares the seven priorities of the NAM’s National Plan to support and improve the health workforce and the health of all communities.
We also talk about some practical actions to address those priorities and how healthcare leaders can advocate for the plan.
