In this episode of Talking HealthTech, Peter Birch interviews Vidya Nallamad from Net-Health, a remote patient monitoring software that focuses on lifestyle conditions.
Net-Health aims to improve the quality of life of patients by providing tools to manage their health. The platform is user-friendly, accessible via mobile devices, and is currently being used in over 25 hospitals in Australia.
Net-Health is also partnering with a hospital in Kenya to help pregnant women with diabetes. Birch and Nallamad discuss the challenges of scaling a software platform globally, such as ensuring cultural sensitivity and compliance with local regulations.
Net-Health’s focus on patient outcomes and health economics for hospitals has resulted in peer-reviewed research papers that demonstrate the platform’s effectiveness.
The platform saves an average of 45 to 50 minutes of clinician time per patient without compromising patient care, making it particularly useful for patients with chronic illnesses.
