Developing femtech to improve women’s heart health
March 20, 2019

Today we are speaking with Alicia Chong, the CEO of Bloomer Tech.

Her company is focused on women’s heart health. For hundreds of years, cardiovascular data has not been specific to women. Even the American Heart Association states that we’re at the infancy of understanding female cardiac health and she and her team feel inspired to do something about it. With 44 million women in the U.S. with some form of heart disease, and most of these cases preventable, she’s on a mission to accelerate progress.

To do just that, they are developing one of the most anticipated female tech technologies — a heart monitoring bra. That’s right, the technology lives within a comfortable garment you already put on each and every day. And it’s washable!
