#84 The Importance of Creating Healthy Workplaces That Bring Out the Best in People featuring Moe Carrick

Would you like to lead or work in a healthy work environment?

Eliminating toxic work cultures and replacing them with healthy work environments is no small feat but it’s something we share a passion for with Moe Carrick the author of Bravespace Workplace.  It was such a pleasure to talk with Moe.  In the episode she speaks about her experiences in creating Bravespaces, what makes a workplace toxic and how workplace toxicity hurts the individuals within the environment.

We also talk about healthcare and the stress the healthcare system is under and the meta challenges healthcare leaders are facing in addition to COVID. Moe reveals with the growth of healthcare systems and the numbers of mergers and acquisitions occurring,  it’s important to remember people connect in small groups or communities and they may not be able to thrive in the larger system.

Another topic we discuss include the role of technology in the workplace and the ongoing need for humans regarding healing, feeling, and connecting.  We explore the role of Human Resources (HR) in creating healthy work cultures.  Also, Moe shares her thoughts about informal leaders and formal leaders and the characteristics and skills they both need now and in the future.

This is an interview jam packed with insights for anyone who is interested in creating or working in a healthy workplace.  Stop what you are doing and listen now!
