Corey is a healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience. He is the President and co-founder of the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes Foundation and recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Virginia Physicians Group.
During his career, he has focused on transforming healthcare by empowering people and improving processes. He also holds an adjunct faculty appointment at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Corey shares how a private family tragedy went public and how he and his wife responded to it. He shares about the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes Foundation and its noble cause to reduce burnout among healthcare professionals and safeguard their well-being.
We also discuss the existing stigma of healthcare providers seeking mental health support and policy reforms to support frontline healthcare workers experiencing burnout and mental health challenges.
