Morine’s Joy: A Dream Birthing Team Goes Viral
What does it take to have a positive birth experience? Apparently, depending on where you live, it can take a lot of time searching for the right provider. In this episode, Morine shares her beautiful birth story after moving from the Durham, N.C. to Knoxville, TN mid-pregnancy and her quest to find a provider who looked like her. Along the way I explore the history and impact of Black women Ob/GYNs, the standard of care white women receive, and how digital platforms are helping to level the playing field.
