S3E08 – What We Can Learn from Digitizing the Banking Industry
This is Episode 8 of Season 3 of the digital orthopaedics podcast. We in healthcare are not, alas, the first to digitize an entire sector of the economy. Oddly, we are the last. Let’s just say that we wanted everyone else to get all the kinks sorted out first. And since we get to go last, let’s not repeat the same mistakes. Let’s learn from the past. Let’s learn from the Banking Industry. Javier Escobedo had a front seat during the tech boom in banking and will share with us the lessons learned while digitizing the banking sector.
After speaking for over an hour at TED 2019 with Javier, I knew we had to bring him to DOCSF to share his lessons with our audience. Javier did not disappoint. Lets join him as he takes the microphone on the DOCSF stage in San Francisco.
The Venue:
This conversation was recorded at DOCSF in January 2020, the weekend before #JPM Week in San Francisco. DOCSF is all about the intersection of digital health and musculoskeletal care.
This year, the sessions featured leaders from Microsoft, Google, Mozilla, Amazon and many other amazing organizations, and Dan Kendall interviewed some of the speakers following their sessions on the stage. This special series of episodes features some of the interviews recorded at this annual event.
