Episode 65: 9 Powerful Ways to Tell if You Could Be on the Road to Burnout

The more we are aware, the better we can prepare and prevent it. Here are some ways to identify if burnout could be creeping into your life: You find yourself needing unplanned rest periods without feeling more energized. You are feeling alone with your feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, cynicism, and decreased motivation. It’s normal to not want to goto work some days, but when this feeling is bringing on more anxiety and it’s becoming more and more frequent, it may be a sign. You are focused more on what is out of your control and losing sight of what is in your control. You are feeling more and more unheard, understood or recognized and are losing motivation. You are unable to manage your emotions (eg, random outbursts of crying or anger…) You are feeling powerless in setting healthy boundaries and may become irritable and resentful of others. You feel like your work has no value and begin to lose your sense of purpose. You are checking out of your personal life and social activities. Can you relate to any of these? I know I can .
