Ep 79- “The Resilient Holistic Health Practice with Laura Baum”

In today’s episode, you will meet Laura Baum. She founded Laura's Botanicals in 2007 as a natural skincare and herbals brand after completing years and spending thousands of dollars in formal herbalism training and certifications from reputable USA based programs. The herbal supplement and herbal education industries are both rapidly growing, with decades of legacy and impact, but Laura saw a divide in how she and many other people were actually able to make the herbs work into their daily practices even after spending thousands of dollars in personal advancement programs and products. What was alarming for Laura was the “I will build it and they will come” mindsets when conducting market research phone calls with new holistic practitioners and recent herbalism and nutrition school graduates. Many of these same people were stumped at their “inability to begin building their herbalism clinics, product-based businesses and or consultation practices.” The mindset and the skill sets are what keyed Laura into helping her shift to a new transformation in her business, a coaching-based business model in 2019 to help these working professionals. Laura helps her clients on a 1:1 basis make lifestyle and/ or business transformations with her signature system The Resilient Holistic Health Practice & The Resilient Holistic Business Practice two distinct tracks for either the individual or business wanting transformation for personal or employee health outcomes and or also skills to develop on the business level; a reflection of Laura’s very own journey. In Laura’s view, personal health is wealth and it is from that abundance that we can build self-sustaining holistic health practices that are not necessarily dependent on larger operating systems if we invest well and cultivate the correct skill sets to create meaningful connections for our self-growth. If we don’t the consequences can be detrimental to our health because we are then more prey to opportunistic short-term fixes and buying cycles.
