About our Guest:
Bjarne Bergheim has served as Sonendo’s President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors since 2008. Mr. Bergheim was the company’s first employee and previously served as Chief Operating Officer from 2006 to 2008. Prior to joining Sonendo, Mr. Bergheim was a co-founder and member of the management team of Fjord Ventures, LLC, a life science accelerator located in Laguna Hills, California focused on building and operating companies in the medical device, diagnostic and biopharmaceutical sectors.
Previously, Mr. Bergheim was the first employee of 3F Therapeutics, Inc., which was acquired by ATS Medical and later by Medtronic, Inc. Mr. Bergheim received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Irvine and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Mr. Bergheim also studied cardiovascular and biomedical engineering at NTNU, Norway in collaboration with Stanford University and California Institute of Technology.
He has spent decades in the medical technology industry and is passionate about advancing Sonendo’s mission to save teeth and improve lives.
