327: Solocast – Crazy Soccer Mom
It’s time to get a little personal (… because that’s different how? 🤣)
Not too long ago, I saw the light fade from my son’s eyes as it pertains to a sport that he genuinely loves. I watched him get dimmer and dimmer until one day he looked at me and said he just didn’t want to play anymore.
After trying to talk to him about it, he simply said that it just didn’t feel good anymore.
Then I went to one of his very last games. His team lost in a big way but what made the loss even worse, was the way his coach approached the loss. Instead of encouraging them and letting them know that losses happen, the coach began to belittle them and acost them.
Mama Bear Weisman came out.
Listen in to hear all about the situation and what it really taught me about being brave and standing up for the people and the ideas that you believe in. Should I have approached the situation differently? Probably. But would I do it again? Absolutely.

[05:07] Our team was beaten 11 to zero, and the coach belittled the team because they lost.
[06:18] I was then labeled as a crazy soccer mom.
[07:20] I asked myself a couple of questions about whether I did the right thing to approach the coach.
