In addition, he has served as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984, leading groundbreaking research on HIV/AIDS, influenza, and other infectious diseases. Dr. Fauci’s tireless dedication to his work has saved countless lives and made him a household name.
