We don’t want to be 20 again. And we don’t think many of our friends do, either! Instead, we want to apply all that hard-earned wisdom to where we are now – contemplating or enjoying our 40s. Some women start thinking about 40 the day after their 35th birthday. For others it sneaks up, lost among work and family and the chaos of life, until….OMG! Here we are.

Dr. King is a Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine and currently serves as the Director of Quality and Chief for the Section of Liver, Pancreas and Foregut Surgery in the Department. She is the current Chief of Surgery and Surgical Quality Officer at Grady Memorial Hospital and also serves as Grady’s’ Medical Director of Surgical Quality and NSQIP co-champion. She is an US Army veteran, with service in Operation Desert Storm, and a prolific researcher in the treatment of liver and pancreatic cancers. Dr King has over 100 combined peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She earned her medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis, completed, her residency in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, a fellowship in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery and a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Mayo Clinic. She completed her Master’s in Business Administration at Brandeis University in Boston, MA.
