Blackberry has announced that it will begin to tackle one of the biggest challenges in the healthcare industry: leveraging healthcare endpoints to improve paitent outcomes while ensuring security and data privacy. And how does it expect to do that? The company will use it’s network operation center to power a decentralized digital ledger provided by ONEBIO, OneBio is Swiss based blockchain company which aims to build a peer-to-peer marketplace for biodata. Additionally, it will leverage it’s blackberry Spark communications platform to connect, protect, and manage smart devices in hospitals and clinics.
