Finding Self-Love, Empowerment, and Confidence as a Young Women: Lacey C. Clark!
Lacey C. Clark! is a phenomenal woman who works with young women to help them find self-love, empowerment, and confidence as they navigate life. Growing up with insecurities and the abundance of mixed messages about who and how black women should be, Lacey was drawn to making a difference in the lives of young women.
Despite having the positive influence of the black performing arts school she attended as a child/teen, she found that media, songs, magazines, all portrayed black women in a certain/selective way. Lacey struggled to identify with this narrative and could see through the lies.
Her mission is to ensure she makes an impact by helping young women create alternative narratives within themselves so they can navigate their world and be safe, smart, and successful in college and in life.

Clark!’s work has reached over 20 countries and 5 continents, touching the lives of millions both online and offline.
Who knew the insecure little girl from inner-city North Philly would push past her constrictions to live on 5 continents and impact the globe with her everywhereness? She cultivated her artistic abilities at the historic New Freedom Theatre in Philadelphia where she was educated in theater, vocal, and dance. Once one who hated her image, she learned to embrace her identity while impacting a diverse audience.
Artistic visions matured while attending the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. She graduated as a Founders Scholar from the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Impassioned by the call to empower, Lacey founded Sisters’ Sanctuary LLC to uplift the self-esteem, self-worth, and self-image of women and girls in a disempowering media climate.
