In this episode, Amie and Sara host Dr. Amy Tan, an Academic,  hospice & palliative care physician with expertise in advance care planning and primary palliative care research. We discuss her experiences as a palliative care physician, understanding how white adjacency shaped her perceptions, anti -Asian racism and anti-Black racism during the pandemic. We also discuss systemic racism in healthcare and how to actively be an ally in healthcare and everyday.
