What is a “Performance Psychologist”?

Performance psychologist Dr. Benjamin Bernstein is a very well-respected doctor of applied psychology, public speaker, coach, lecturer, and author of many books, including “Stressed Out! for Parents: How to Be Calm, Confident, and Focused.” He’s also a musical theater nerd, composer of operas, and fellow pianist. Ticks all the right boxes. Anyway, he dropped by OffScrip Media Studios for an in-person conversation – how novel – and not only did we compare notes on both being fully vaccinated, we had a fascinating discussion about stress, anxiety, stage fright, what a modern-day coach means in 2021, and how, back in the day, it still wasn’t ok to tell someone dealing with all sorts of crap to “just get over it.” Enjoy the show.
