According to Johns Hopkins School of Nursing PhD Candidate Katie Spearman, there is no risk assessment tool that assesses a child’s risk of lethality or danger after separation. Through her research, Spearman is seeking to improve risk assessment and intervention for children exposed to domestic violence. And on the legal side, help judges and attorneys use the power of the bench to make better decisions for kids.
