61 – Keeping your eggs in multiple baskets with Dr. Wendell Cole
On this episode, we get to hear from newly minted Dr. Wendell Cole. That’s right! The same Wendell Cole from Episode 55 who contacted me out of the blue while I was down in Atlanta for a conference. I interviewed him literally hours before he starts his first day as an orthopedic surgery resident at Tulane University.
This time we’re talking about all the ways in which he’s a doc outside the box. He’s a triple threat – we’re talking physician, podcaster, and now a Best Selling Author with his book called The Med School Survival Kit – How To Breeze Through Med School While Crushing Your Exams. What’s even more impressive, he accomplished the majority of this while he was a medical student!
Things to pick up in this episode:
- Learn about his background and why this drives him to be as diversified as possible
- The biggest lesson he’s learned from failing
- How acknowledging his weakness has made his more productive
- His quick tips for writing a book
- How he answers #imnotjustadoc
