112 – Dr. Renee dishes on mommy guilt and resigning from her residency

What’s good everyone!

Ask and you shall receive! I’ve read all of your reviews and comments related to having my wife, Dr. Renee, back on the show. I brought her back into the studio so you can learn more about her as well as her unique view to practicing medicine as a mother.

Things talked about on this episode:

  • How she helped her parents realize their dreams
  • Why she resigned in her first year of residency
  • Her thoughts on “Mommy Guilt”
  • Why she calls herself the “Stay at home OB/GYN”

Dr. Renee Darko graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences’ dual degree program where she earned her D.O. and a M.B.A. Currently, she practices as a locums OB/GYN. Dr. Renee is founder of Pre-Med Strategies, Inc – where she coaches highly motivated non-traditional pre-meds to get into medical school. She also hosts the podcast The Total Pre-med Makeover.
